Star Trek fans tuning into today’s Rose Bowl got a special treat, as the USS Enterprise was part of Paramount Pictures’ 2012 Rose Bowl float entry.
The entry, called Paramount Pictures…100 Years of Movie Magic, paid homage to past studio productions, including Star Trek.

Saldana is rumored to be dating Bradley Cooper, the actor deemed 2011′s “Sexiest Man Alive” according to People Magazine.

Fans of Star Trek: Voyager‘s Ethan Phillips will be able to see the actor in a new original Syfy movie next year.
Phillips will be appearing in Arachnoquake, joining Tracey Gold (Growing Pains), Bug Hall(The Little Rascals) and Edward Furlong (Terminator 2: Judgment Day).

Character actor Robert Easton, best-known to Star Trek fans for his role as the Klingon judge in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, died last week.
Easton was eighty-one, and died of natural causes at his home in Toluca Lake, California.

While filming Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, in which Star Trek XI‘s Simon Pegg plays field agent Benji Dunn, the actor took time to have a little fun during breaks in filming.
Pegg and Tom Cruise went go-carting during a break from shooting Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. “It was such fun,” said Pegg. “It’s nice to penetrate the noxious cloud of myth that surrounds him.”

The word over at Showbiz 411, from a “source close to the next film,” claims that none or the original series actors would be returning for Star Trek 2.

Fans in the Big Apple in February will have the chance to see William Shatner appearing on Broadway in a one-man show.
The one-man show is called Shatner’s World: We Just Live in It and it will run for several weeks at the Music Box Theater in February.
